OOOOh, tomorrow's the big day, just a couple hours away! I feel like Robin Williams' libido now! Will you hear a big Roaaaar! or a sneaky Heeheeheee! Seriously, I'm not sure if you'll be too wound up to sleep or will be so tired that you can't help but nod off. Either way, Ms Danielle, here's to you! Cheers !!!!

You're jivin' me ...a hyena? Sibling rivalry, that's what it is. Seriously, remember when I was having trouble with the audio on my PC and couldn't hear anything, and you said all I was missing were moans and groans? I meant it then, and I mean it now, I love voices, and you have a lovely voice and a great bubbly giggle that in all honesty make me smile big-time. I love laughs, guffaws, twitters, giggles and so on--I love the spontaneity! In all seriousness, and I know I'm not alone here, you do have a fantastically fun laugh, Danielle. Heck, I'm smirking here now thinking about it (Aw, golly gee shucks ... ). I noticed that Ryan had provided you with a website with info on your problem (wish I'd thought of that), and saw you were taking care of things which is really good. And, since I can't go without dropping one more ***-bit of trivia, here's what I have today: James Dole was an 8th cousin 2x removed of Sherwood Noble, co-founder of Dairy Queen (Noble provided the first restaurants, his co-founder provided the method of making soft-serve ice cream). Noble is also an 8th cousin 2x of the current owner of DQ, Warren Buffett (my Mom works for one of his companies, and my brother met and had his photo taken with him). And just to take it full circle, Buffett is a 6th cousin 3x of James Dole. That's all for today--by the time I was done last night my eyes were so tired that my vision was like looking through smoke or fog. Maybe tomorrow I'll have some Alamo kinships for you (since your family's in TX now). For now, I have to finish transcribing my data on Ernest Thomspon (who wrote On Golden Pond--appropriate since I'm a bit of a loon, or maybe just looney), then I want to figure out how to create some FTVGirl threads, per Rob's suggestion. Hope you have a great day, Danielle! !!!

God...and I always thought that I laughed like a hyena (you can blame that insult on my sister.) It's nice to hear what people enjoy about me.

Dole whip sounds goooood! I spent my afternoon downloading from FTV in the background and trying to fix the bugs in that genealogy program (lots of bugs ). It took me about 6 hours and I think I finally fixed 'em. Thing is, I worked through my lunch, forgot to take care of my meds and now have to play catch-up with the rest of my life (c'est la vie). With everything else, just do what you need to take care of yourself, stay healthy and stay happy. I saw someone mention your giggle on the board a few minutes ago (I think it was in the "what aspect ..." string). I agree--it give me a big smile, and I thank you most humbly for that! Cheers, Ms Danielle!

I just thought of something else--if this not-so-nice guy is trying to damage your rep., it may be possible if it gets bad enough to challenge him another way. He's trying to defame you, right? In other words, he's trying to cost you & Rob your livelihoods, making it impossible to find work in your careers, right? I think that there was a law that is supposed to prevent someone from scuttling your career(s). It may have been something that was passed, something that was overturned, I forget what or when, but I do have this vague memory of my prof. discussing this issue once upon a time (in a galaxy far, far away ...). Maybe one more way you can burden/challenge the other guy with legal issues, rather than playing defense. Anyway, there was something in Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle that seemed apropos, something about people getting what's coming to them in the end. Cheers, and have a nice night and great tomorrow!

A dole whip is pineapple frozen yogurt with little pinapple pieces in it. It is one of the best frozen desserts ever along with the Gelato Spots passionfruit gelato. Yep...I thought that my Myspace was blocked to people under the age of 18 but obviously it wasn't. I will be changing that immediately though.

Oh, I did check my other in-box and got your message. I have most of the things there turned off just so I'm not inundated with a lot of garbage, and my primary email has a filter on it that limits attachments and I make good use of my spam filters, so with that younger person emailing you, I'd probably give serious thought to disabling some of those features, too (hence my responding here rather than there). I think that there is a filter that prevents someone writing to or viewing parts of the site under a certain age. I just keep mine private and use it as a very low-key means of advertising for people I respect more than anything else. I also use it, on occasion, as a sounding board for myself for my own thoughts, sometimes with some input from others. I'm not big on the whole networking thing nowadays, but, as with you, I see someone I find cool or intriguing, I'll put out my hand--you never know, it might wind up being helpful. But what you said struck a chord with me because of a certain younger family member of mine with a growing interest in, first tattoos, and second, asking why someone would want to take their clothes off. I know its not something I'm encouraging (way too young for those sorts of questions!), and I think I figured out where they're coming from (the boyfriend of a friend's mother), which made me check the Washoe Sheriff's website for offenders in the area (again--Brianna Dennison was found just blocks from here--I still have a blue ribbon on my front door). Sum total, just be careful, and shut down parts where and when you need to, not only to protect yourself but also protect others, such as that younger admirer of yours. Cheers, and have a nice day!

It didn't start off as a 9 degrees thing, or as something I planned on posting, just as a "test drive" for a program I got to organize my genealogy projects. Its not quite what I wanted in a program, and its given me a lot of headaches (so many that since I joined the forum a couple weeks ago I'd given it a miss). Anyway, about 3/4 through that list (which went on and on beyond what I posted here), I thought of the Kevin bacon thing, truncated the original by half and wrapped things around to Kevin. Seemed the right thing to do. I think its a law now, too, but I could be wrong . BTW, whats that Dole thing you were talking about? I drink Dole juice (one of the few I can find that is actually juice and not high fructose corn syrup--bad for the body, bad for the teeth) & eat Dole raisins, but I've never been to Hawaii (I'm more a cold weather person--I'd rather visit Sasquatch in Vancouver--nice guy, likes the Dead--barefoot, likes nature hikes and so on ... ).

That's cool...it's like that game 9 degree from Kevin Bacon (that's what it's called right)? I went to the Dole Plantation in Hawaii and had one of their Dole whips. Boy do I wish they made those things here...but it's probably for the best since I know I would be eating them all the time.

Same here, re: caffeine. In fact, even though I understand there's more caffeine in tea than in coffee, it seems to affect me less coming from tea. Then again, I'm not a huge coffee drinker, so maybe its something else. So today I was puttering around again and thought about the weird things you pick up here and there and I got going on this genealogy-string thing that I thought I'd share. Since Rob takes a couple trips to Hawaii with FTVGirls every year, I thought I'd begin with James Dole, the founder of the pineapple company. His 1st cousin 1x removed was Sanford Dole who, with other businessmen, overthrew the Hawaiian monarchy (Sanford became the Pres of the Hawaiian Republic, then 1st Gov of it when Hawaii became a US territory). Sanford's 7th cousin 1x, was Rep. Robert Wilcox, aka Prince Kalani-hiapo (his father was from Rhode Island, his mother a member of the Hawaiian royal family from Maui). Rep. Wilcox's 12th cousin 1x was Jeannine Davis-Kimball, an anthropologist who studies the real-life Amazons of the Russian steppe. Jeannine is a 10th cousin of someone who co-starred with "Amazons" a few years back in Xena--Alexandra Tydings. Alex (whose mother was Miss California) is a 6th cousin of Marion Bradley Zimmer, author of The Mists of Avalon. Marion is an 8th cousin 3x of Nancy "Sylvia" Beach, founder of Shakespeare & Co. bookstore in Paris. Sylvia was an 8th cousin 3x of Velma "Valerie Taylor" Young, an author famous for her lesbian pulp fiction. Velma, or Valerie if you prefer, was a 10th cousin of Vaughan Bass, a pin-up artist. Vaughan was a 9th cousin 1x of another pin-up artist, Joyce Ballantyne Brand (who also created the Coppertone Girl). Joyce was a 10th cousin 1x of Craig Morey, the fetish & erotic photographer. Craig is a 9th cousin 1x of Candace Bushnell (author of Sex and the City). Candace is an 8th cousin 2x of Molly Yard, former President of the National Organization of Women. Molly is a 9th cousin of Barbara Grier, GLAD activist & founder of Naiad Press. Barbara is an 8th cousin 2x of Susie Bright, the erotologist (whose father is Robert Bright the linguist). Susie is a 9th cousin 1x of Mary Phelps Jacob (aka Caresse Crosby) who invented the bra. Mary was a 6th cousin of brothers DeVer & Lucien Warner, corset makers who bought her patent and formed Warner Brothers (the bra company, not the movie studio). The Warners were 6th cousins 4x of Hugh Hefner. I understand Mr. Hefner is more famous for getting women to take off their bras . Hef is an 8th cousin 1x of sexologist Alfred Kinsey. Alfred was an 8th cousin 3x of Lydia Folger Fowler, the second woman to be awarded the degree of Medical Doctor in the US (the first who was native born; the 1st woman immigrated from England). Lydia was a 6th cousin 6x of recent Playmate Juliette Frette, the Feminist Playmate. Juliette was a 7th cousin 2x of Edie Sedgwick, one of Andy Warhold's troupe. Edie was a 1st cousin 1x of Kyra Sedgwick, and, since its the law, that brings us to Kyra's hubby, Kevin Bacon. Oh, and Kevin is a 9th cousin of James Dole. What? I was bored. Have a good night and pleasant tomorrow!
