Don't tempt me, them car/boats are in my price range lol. I have actually sailed to France though with a friend, i know it isn't quite as far as America, but it's a start lol. Glad you have a good Easter with your daughter. I had a good Easter with my sister and mum, my sisters four kids were bit of a handful though lol. Still all Easters are always a good break from work.

You should get one of those car/boats & come on over for a visit one of these days.. You might be surprised how civilized we have become in the colonies since the revolution..lol (We aren't really that civilized..still a bunch of cowboys..but one can hope)

& Easter was good..spent a bit of time with my daughter..

Yes i've always had a phobia about aircraft and flying since i was a kid. Love boats, love cars though lol. I quite like road trips as well, longer the better, i've driven from London to Edinburgh, Scotland a few times, only takes about 5 hours though lol. If i could drive to the U.S, i would, even if it took about 2 months lol. Hope your Easter breaks going well.

Didn't know you didn't like the airplane thing...but boats are good too I have always wanted to go on a cruise, but so far I haven't made it happen. I don't usually fly myself, but its more about the lines & cramped seats..driving relaxes me as well, I love a long road trip.

Yes i kinda understand you more concentrate on family and kinda improving your outlook on life, i think. I basically just go with the flow, what will be, will be. No i've never been to the U.S, not sure if you've ever read my posts on my fear of flying. Sounds silly to some, but i am terrified of aircraft especially the noise they make. I can't even go near an airport without breaking into a sweat, i have even tried a fear of flying course and managed to board a plane but soon passed out due to the extreme anxiety on actually being on one. I've had a few panic attacks in the past due to low flying aircraft. I have been abroad only by boat, such as cruises to the Bay of Biscay and France, i love the sea so ships are no problem. Maybe i could go by boat, it would only take 2 to 3 weeks, according to Google lol.

No i've never played golf..spent most of my days working & just starting to ease up, look around & decide what I want to do with my future..never been into sports either. Up until a year or so ago, I didn't do much that didn't have to do with work or family. (about the time we first became aware of each other on Ali's forum)..Since then, I have been changing the way I do things, traveling, meeting new people, & just getting out of the house to do stuff..Working out pretty well for me (at least its starting too)..Have you ever been to the US?

As much as i love diy, i'm really a golf fanatic. There's some really beautiful golf courses here and it just makes a great day out. I've even played golf in the rain, takes more than rain to ruined my day lol. Ever played golf? and are you into any kind of sport?.

Glad you had a good day at golf..always fun to spend time with friends. That was a bit cruel to pick on the "greenhorn" with a dull saw..but funny. Been known to have a bit of sport with a trainee myself. I rarely use a handsaw, but I do have 5 or 6 that were my fathers that I hang onto that are very old & in excellent shape.
The reason I have so many nail guns is that each one works a bit different for different application & I do so many different things, my favorite is not always the same one. I have a full line of phenumatic guns, a full line of gas/electric, and several battery driven ones. Whenever a new one comes along, I usually march down & buy it right away. I guess you could call me a tool freak (& I never throw anything away lol). I do plan to start selling off some of the stuff I don't use anymore, like 6 or 8 mitre saws, 2 table saws, etc, etc. (I have enough tools to outfit 5 carpenters & I've worked alone for years.
