Well, the US actually has 6 (7) different time zones, ranging from -6 (East coast) to -11 (Hawaii) hours compared to our time.
I find it funny that Arizona and Hawaii are the only states without daylight saving time. At Hawaii I see why, but continental Arizona?

And by the times they are online I mean they've been frequently online at 1:00 AM to 2:30 AM their time. When do they sleep?
(Well, I'm online 1:00 AM to 2:00 AM my time, too. )

I got tired calculating 8 hours back and installed two clocks on my laptop's sidebar: One Western European (local) time, one Phoenix time. It still amazes me at what times Danielle, Rob and WhyYou are online.

Hi Ugo--

I could do with a little warmth here. I'm in northwest Nevada, just a little northeast of Lake Tahoe (the lake is about a 40 minute drive from here). I used to live in the San Francisco Bay area where the weather was much nicer. Right now its very cold here; we had snow falling yesterday and the night before, and it warmed up a little today, so some that melted has frozen on the ground and there are a lot of icicles hanging (the ones on my roof are nearly 2 feet long already!). But I have warm clothes, and I like the snow, and, best of all, I get to wear my mulkuks! Anyway, I have to head out to watch my nieces while my brother & sister-in-law go out for a little bit. Good afternoon, Ugo! Its about 9:10 AM here in Nevada. It snowed here last night, just a light dusting down here in the South Truckee Meadows, but a lot more up in the Sierra Nevada themselves. I love the mountains, and I love the snow, but at the same time I miss the more temperate Mediterranean-like climate of Northern California where I lived most of my life (where Geezer lives, actually). I used to live in Sonoma County, California which I understood was quite like Tuscany (you live further south and on the opposite side of Italy, don't you, somewhere between Apulia & Calabria, no?). Anyway, I hope you have a calmer, happier day, Ugo. Cheers!
