Glad you had a good day at golf..always fun to spend time with friends. That was a bit cruel to pick on the "greenhorn" with a dull saw..but funny. Been known to have a bit of sport with a trainee myself. I rarely use a handsaw, but I do have 5 or 6 that were my fathers that I hang onto that are very old & in excellent shape.
The reason I have so many nail guns is that each one works a bit different for different application & I do so many different things, my favorite is not always the same one. I have a full line of phenumatic guns, a full line of gas/electric, and several battery driven ones. Whenever a new one comes along, I usually march down & buy it right away. I guess you could call me a tool freak (& I never throw anything away lol). I do plan to start selling off some of the stuff I don't use anymore, like 6 or 8 mitre saws, 2 table saws, etc, etc. (I have enough tools to outfit 5 carpenters & I've worked alone for years.

Sounds like fun..messing with the friends. Still too cold for outdoors activity around here, but hopefully it will warm up. Only thing I have planned this weekend is to go out & buy a new "gun"..lol. (nail gun). I have way more of those than the other & I like to upgrade whenever new ones come on the market. I must have 30 by now..think I'll sell off some of the older ones

Thankfully, I haven't ever had to defend myself with one yet! When you buy a gun, there is a waiting period for a background check, some states require registration, but not in the western states. Permits are required for concealed carry use. I got pulled over in St. Louis last year (traffic) & they asked if I had a gun & I said yes, is that a problem..they said nope, as long as they know & then asked.."What do you carry"..LOL

I used to have some pics of crazy stunts with forklifts, but I have lost them..too bad, they were funny.
Yep..I have guns..I was born & raised in rural Wyoming where shooting guns was a hobby & there are alot of hunters & almost everyone is a gun toting type..even though I live in the city now, I still have a few. Makes me feel better knowing I'm as well armed as the local criminals..lol (its an American thing I think)

Well...at least they hit your car..& not you. (I do have a few guns laying around just in case this happens to me)..
I'm guessing the police do feel a bit silly about having to escort a pole somewhere..they deserve a donut for that..lol
It would be more fun to balance that long a load on one forklift!..(sounds like something I would try (& fail) to do..

Yep..MDF..code word "cheap"... I have used MDF architraves by the way..once again.."cheap". I guess thats what the future holds..houses made from paper, all they need now is figure out how to make concrete, studs, & siding out of it (that won't soak up water like a sponge) & that will happen. I'm gonna take a week or 2 of R&R starting tomorrow & go to Tennessee for a family visit so everything is "Rosy" in my world...at least for the next few weeks..

It doesn't sound much different from the way its done here. We don't however deal with the cutting mills. We get our materials from various middle men and not all of those stock interior trim materials like rail parts or trim moulding. We also deal with a few national builders that dictate price on a nation wide scale & we match material to price. Most of the production houses we do around here, are trimmed entirely with MDF..paints up nice, but I still consider it heavy "paper"..
