Terrible tragedy that struck that island but at least Tigger is not in a war zone!

Members; I just received this email from Missy.

"Tigger was injured yesterday. He was helping remove a body and some wood fell which he got caught up in, along with some others. He will be alright and was able to walk back to the aid tent. He has a broken nose and 8 stitches in his arm. That's all we know for now. By the time you read this, he will be on his way home.

Just got an update from Missy;

"Tigger is in Hawaii right now, he will be flying into Miramar Marine base in CA. in the morning. Along with his broken nose he has 2 broken teeth, a cut on his chin and the cut on his arm which required the stitches.

They must have been using heavy machinery to help move things while looking for victims. A backhoe operator knocked over a wall on to all 4 of the guys working. One of the other guys got both of his legs broken. He will be home in a few days also."

That's one tough ol' man. All in the name of helping others...

Well if anyone has earnt a camping trip, it's Tigger and i really hope he has a great time.

Just got this from Missy to post for you members.

Tigger is back to work this morning. He was met with a lot of crying and hugging from the girls, and i gave him a kick in the butt as promised for asking to go over there. He looks great, he lost some of the weight he has been trying to shed. The cut on his arm is not as bad as i thought, he will have a scar but not bad. We are all just very glad to have him back.

Yes your right Laranger, we'll be very glad to have him back and he'll get a heroe's welcome. Thanks for keeping us posted through Tigger's absence Laranger.

hey guys im doing fine. good to be home. im on Sarahs computer at the momunt. i still dont have a new computer. but i will soon i hope. want to thank laranger and missy for keeping you all updated on my overseas adventure. lol i dodnt think of my self as a hero just doing what i feel i had to do. and i was glad to do it. ill try to keep in touch thru missy and laranger till i can get on the web again. well have to go for now.

I got a phone call from Tigger yesterday. He was too sick to drive and was a passenger while another team member drove to where they had to go. He went to the ER and they decided to keep him overnight. Today I recieved this from Missy to post.

"Hey guys; Matt went to the DR. last night he was sick all day yesterday. He was dehydrated, and his enzymes were high, so they kept him over night. We went to see him this morning and they are going to keep him for the day to give him fluids and get his enzymes under control. It's not serious, they are just worried about it due to his other health issues and he cant take his meds because he cant keep anything down. They are giving him his meds thru the Iv. He will be fine; just needs some rest, They don't think it's food poisoning. They think he has a mild virus. Should be ok in a day or two."

I hope Tigger gets well soon.
