Yes the cowboys were sitting around the campfire eating beans cutting the wind when Slim Pickens says the line. I believe that is how it went away it has been a while since I have seen the movie.

That's it. is one of the most politically incorrect movies of all times (by todays standards) and could not be made today. but it is funny.

Thanks for the link Whyyou!

individual scenes in the movie could be offensive because they are taken out of context. if you see the movie from beginning to end you will see it actually has a positive message.
|
Yes I agree and most of the jokes are at sterotypes and meant to be funny not offensive. I like the Mel Brooks movies and find them very humurous. History of the World, Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles all were very funny.
|
I think the difference is that they were never mean spirited. but mel brooks does always make great and funny movies. some of the best lines come out of the movies you mentioned.
|
i remember alot of the Mel Brooks movies especially "Blazing Saddle".A positive message?....like don't fart near a open flame such as a Camp fire? :D
the Camp fire reminded me of a story my best friend told me something that he done back in High School...another positive message, don't do something dumb like pissing into a camp fire. He done it once out of boredom.Lets just say he had to leave the area fast..he said the whole area around the camp fire stinks to high heaven |
that is one of many lessons... as well as don't mess with a guy named Mongo.

Im out in the middle of nowair in a field the army guys are unloading my trailer into one of there trucks to take out in the field where they are setting up for the week. and the truck drives away so the next one can back up to the back of my trailer to be loaded and one of the army guys did not notice the truck was gone and walked right off the back of the trailer and broke his arm. They just put him in to my chase car and are rushing him to the local hospital. You cant fall 4 ft holding a box of ammo (45lbs) and not hurt somthing. I feel bad for the guy but i bet he is going to get a but chewing. How could he not notice the truck was gone? and why didint one of the 8 others on the trailer stop him? dont get me wrong i have the upmost respect for all our troops but we have some ideots out there. this morning they got one of the trucks stuck and they pulled it out and the guy drove right back into the hole that they just pulled him out of. i have been to the driver training center i know they teach them better than that!
|
Outch!
Why hasn't that guy looked where he stepped? How big is such a box of ammo? At 45lbs each box, he wouldn't have tried to move 2 boxes at once, blocking his view, would he? I guess one of the worst things that can happen to you while handling explosives is letting it turn into a habit. That's when people stop giving attention to what they do. ("The last 100 times nothing happened. Why should something happen right now?") The closest I've come to explosives was holding my rounds at the shooting range when I served in the Medical Corps. I can't imagine ever to drop attention when handling explosives (which doesn't occure these days anymore). I hope the guy got only a simple fracture, so it can heal quickly. |

I was in the Medical Corps of the German Army, at a material supply unit. You won't believe how much stuff is constantly needed, even if the troops aren't doing anything but training. My service was before Germany decided to take part in more of the peacekeeping missions around Europe and the world. At my service time the German government wound itself out of it somehow, even though they were repeatedly asked. With the reunion they had to face the growing responsibility with it and had to attend. Ah, crap, talking politics again. Sorry! |

Did Amanda wear undies with Sponge Bob on it, or undies like the ones Sponge Bob wears? ;)

I can't figure how any female behind could fit in Sponge Bob's square undies. |

But then again you probably find a few grown men wearing "South Park" undies. :) |

We have 3 new temprary members of the team. There mom was hit by a car at the motel last night and they were hudled by her so the girls gathered them up we have a box for them Missy had them in the van with her all day they seem to be healthy and active. they have ate every thing we put in with them. David is going to take them home with him his daughter is going to rase them till they are old enough to go out on there own. the girls are going to take care of them till then. they are cute!
|
Their very cute Tigger, lucky they were found. When their old enough to fend for themselves the girls may find it hard to let them go. I can see that happening.:)

Davids girls have rabits so they know how to take care of them.
|
Well i guess to the girls it's, more the merrier. So it shouldn't be a problem letting them go when the times comes then Tigger?.:)

I think it is going to be harder for Missy and Amanda to let go. Sarah seemed to enjoy holding them as well.
|
The main problem is that, because they are still babies, when they get older they may not be able to fend for themselves because they were raised in captivity. So releasing them into the wild might be a death sentence for them. It might be best to just keep them with the other rabbits for as long as they live.
