New Record by Marine Sniper
 

Yesterday a Marine sniper covering troops took out an enemy sniper . he was shooting a m-40a3 sniper rifle accuat to 1000 yrds. Marine took out enemy sniper with a confermed shot of 1412 yrds right befor he fired on our troops.

And the sniper turned out to be a duck! :D

Hell of a shot..4/5 of a mile..makes me nervous considering the avitar I use..:)

And that shot was made with a nato 7.62 round. a BMG 50 cal can punch a hole in a brick wall a mile away and get the onestanding behind it. IT is good for stoping cars too because you can shoot a hole in the motor.:eek:

That's impressive and frightening at the same time Tigger. Is that a record for a sniper Tigger?.

so you're a soldier in a sniper squad tigger ? Not in duty i suppose atm ? Or you visiting this site from your camp ?

Btw a friend from my father is also a leader of a sniper-squad in the german special forces.

Yet im not into weapons myself...

Tigger is a marine, but not a sniper he is a combat medic. he just returned from over there. read the Tigger thread it explains it

Misssy is correct I and her hubby are bolth combat medics. we were 2 of 600 medics trained by the navy back in 1990 to train Marines as combat medics the program was scrubbed in 03 an they just went back to training Navy medics to be out with Marines. there are still about 250 of us still in last i heard. i work for the dod when im not playing Marine.lol
