I'm out of (German) service for 17 years now, but I give my salute to this fellow allied soldier, whom I now have no chance anymore to get known to.

Hey guys Tigger will be gone for a few days. he flew to VA. this morming to meet the body. Tigger and one other Marine will be escorting the body home to OH. And will be in uniform attending the funeral tomarow. Mike was one of Tiggers best friends, they grew up together, went into the Marines together, and Mike was the best man at Tiggers wedding. He was also Sarahs godfather. This loss has hit Tigger vary hard. He will be back on in a few days. He only took a bag and his uniform with him, just what he could carry on the plane. so I have his computer. they have another driver finishing out his load for him that delivers sun morning. Tigger should be back by then or monday. A Marine will be with the body 24hrs a day till the end of the funeral and it is layed to rest. Mike was lost trying to rescue a fellow Marine who had been shot. sadly the other Marine dyed befor he could be gotten out. Jeromy just told me Tigger is in OH. at the funeral home already. so if I hear more I will let you know.

Hey guys I just got off the phone with Sarah she is up with her dad. he is doing ok , she sent me some photos but i think Tigger would want them to remain for him only i poasted one of him in uniform with Mikes mom and a few other marines in the parking lot, tigger is the portly one with his back to you. Sarah said if his belt comes loose every button on his coat will blow. he has lost a lot of weight but he still has some to go. It's all in his belly and neck. but we pulled a few female tricks that us girls use to get in them small dresses and got him in his uniform before we took him to the airport. He has to do his reserve time the end of june so he is hard at it getting back into shape.

I think he does too!!!!!! so does my husband and David too. them blues are just sexy!:) talked to Tigger early this morning he is holding in there. the funeral was to start at 9 am . the ranking marine is to present the purple heart, and silver star to Mikes mom. Mikes dad past several years ago. Mikes sister is in the Airforce she got in late last night. Tigger and 7 other Marines from the unit will be carring the casket from the funeral home 1 mile to the grave sight next to his father. I have never seen this before but Jeromy said if 8 guys from the unit are present they carry thecasket by placing it on there shoulder and walking at attn. balencing it on there shoulder all the way to the grave. this is done as a show of respect for there fallen brother. the mother and sister will follow behind. tigger said people are already starting to line up along the path they will take. well we have 200 more miles to go and we can get rid of the driver that filled in for Tigger. ( I dont like him) I think Tigger is staying till monday to visit with the family and see old friends. Oh Tiggers old math teacher came up to him last night she is 103 yrs old. she gave him a kiss and said she was proud of him. that made Tigger feel good.

That is so nice!!!!!!! Well I spoke with Tigger he said almost every one in town showed up for the funeral, shops closed and everything, the local store donated all the food and drink for a gatering afterword. and they are going to watch some movies the guys that are over seas sent over about the time they have spent there. Sarah said the Marines carried the casket all the way to the grave sight and were in perfect step the hole way, she said daddy lookes so good up there in front. Mikes mom requested that! and the local motel is puting up all the Marines at no charge. Tigger will be flying back to where we are sunday night or monday morning. I read all of what you all have said and he sayes thank you too all of you.

Hey all Tigger will be flying in this afternoon . one of us will be picking him up. Sarah got home safely this morning. I'm sure he will get on later to see what I wrote!!!!!!!!!!!:D

Thank you all for your kind words it ment a lot. Boy i about got molested by the girls when i got back, hugs and kisses, they acked like i just returned from the dead! Missy said blame Laranger he told them to do it!!!!!! Well Laranger i have this to say to you!!!!!!!!!! do it more often it was kinda nice. :p

Thank you!!!!!! Mike was aworded the silver star, for going above and beyond. It was given to his mother at the funeral along with his purple heart.
