I heard no noise from the AC (at least not overly loud) and no echo either.
That echo usually comes from hitting the Start button on the left more than once. I made it a habit to first click on Stop before clicking on Start and haven't gotten any echo problems since.
While a clip on microphone would surely enhance our experience, it would be quite a hassle for Danielle ...
