My Canon cameras record video in .AVI. I've seen it elsewhere but can't recall where. Whenever I download videos from any of Kink's sister sites, they are in .MP4 format. Kink's sites do offer a smartphone viewing format but I've never tried it. WHO wants to watch porn on a 3 1/2 inch phone screen?

You will have to poll the Gear Heads and Fan Boys to get in depth file formatting information. I just use whatever is offered to me without worrying about the file details.
