My Canon cameras record video in .AVI. I've seen it elsewhere but can't recall where. Whenever I download videos from any of Kink's sister sites, they are in .MP4 format. You will have to poll the Gear Heads and Fan Boys to get in depth file formatting information. I just use whatever is offered to me without worrying about the file details.

My little Flip camera also records in .avi. I've always switched it to a different format though.

I usually pick whatever is the highest quality available.

I watch the .wmv files, preferably the HD version - if the equipment I'm watching it is capable of displaying that. (I have a Netbook that isn't.)
I also download the other versions and look if they're completely uploaded, so I can send an Error Report if they aren't.
