Not a typical christmas song but John Lennon's Happy Xmas is always good. Also U2 - Christmas(Baby Please Come Home), The Eagles - Please Come Home for Christmas, Jethro Tull made a Christmas album which was nice.

I don't really care for traditional Christmas songs.
Jethro Tull's "A Christmas Song" is probably my favorite, it's not a very happy song, but it gets at the true spirit of the holiday and how it gets lost in midst of commercialism. Others I like are: The Kinks: "Father Christmas" XTC: "Thanks For Christmas" Emerson, Lake and Palmer: "I Believe in Father Christmas" Root Boy Slim: "Christmas At K-Mart" John Lennon: "Happy Christmas (War Is Over)" Bruce Springsteen: "Santa Claus is Coming To Town" David Bowie & Bing Crosby: "Little Drummer Boy/Peace On Earth" There's probably a bunch more that I can't remember. |

I have a 4 cd set of Christmas songs and I've made several mp3's from them. I even made a couple of mp3's using an entire cd for each. I play my mp3's when I'm chatting in IRC (Internet Relay Chat). I have a folder on my computer that's dedicated to Christmas mp3's.

Wasn't too keen on Cliff Richard. Til he sang "Mistletoe and wine". It was also a favourite of my eldest sister. Who i lost 5 years ago. So it also brings back some special memories for me.
