I have to agree with enigma2. A person can get tested today and be free of any viruses. Then, they have sex with someone the next day and get something. The original person might not get tested again for several weeks but they are still out there infecting others.

It is based on containment, not prevention. If a performer tests positive, in theory it should be possible to notify the people they have worked with and contain it that way. It won't stop infection, but it will limit its effect.

The problem is more with corruption and people who know they are positive potentially taking steps to conceal that.

I'm curious about the effect it will have on performers though, if studios shut down for a period, there is no work for them and they have bills to pay (not to mention other needs). Probably a lot of them will end up doing escort if they can't dance.
