I use Skype several times a year to talk with a friend who lives in Helsinki Finland. We might "telecommunicate" for TWO hours and it doesn't cost a penny. It's easy once you have the usernames for any and all of your friends. You just click on the person you want to talk with and "call" them. Of course, each of you need speakers/webcams OR you can use a headset with an ear piece and a microphone. The other person's web cam view fills most of my monitor while what the other person sees fills just a small part of my screen. That way, you see what the other person sees.
