1.IF YOU COULD BUILD A SECOND HOUSE, WHERE WOULD YOU BUILD IT?
If I could build a first house, it would probably be just outside Yosemite along the Merced River; more of an off the grid cabin/earth home

2.WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE ARTICLE OF CLOTHING?
Yosemite Mountaineering School "Go Climb A Rock" t-shirt

3.WHAT WAS THE LAST CD YOU BOUGHT?
Storm & the Balls "Ladylike"

4.WHAT TIME DID YOU GET UP THJIS MORNING?

5.WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE KITCHEN APPLIANCE?
Water purifier--Other than tea, its what I drink

6.IF YOU COULD PLAY AN INSTRUMENT,WHAT WOULD IT BE?
I played trombone, but I'd like to play violin (versatile)

7.WHAT DO YOU PREFER,SPORTS CAR OR SUV?
Where does a Subaru Outback fit? What about a rebuilt Indian or a Harley softtail?

8.DO YOU BELIEVE IN LIFE AFTER DEATH?
No idea, but the idea is interesting, and I rather hope that there is something more after this shell breaks down

9.FAVOURITE CHILDRENS BOOK?
Jungle Book

10.WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE SEASON?
Winter. I love the snow (Mt. Rose looks so drab without it), I love icicles, and I love taking my elder niece up into the rough areas hereabouts tracking the animals that go by, and I hope to do the same with my little niece when she's old enough

11.WHAT IS IN THE TRUNK OF YOUR CAR?
Nothing, but when I had a car, I kept wool blankets, a tool box that included everything from driver & drill sets to torque wrench, ball-joint remover, a really good jack & spanner, spare tire, flashlights, glowsticks and so on. I spent too many years camping and too many years in scouts not to go out unprepared

12.WHICH DO YOU PREFER,SUSHI OR HAMBURGER?
Hamburger, make that cheeseburger ("In-n-Out makes some good hamburgers." "Shut the (deleted) up, Donny!"

13.WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE FLOWER?
Rose. When I was little, I loved Shasta Daisies though.

14.WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE ICE CREAM?
Pistachio, maybe mango--tough call

15.BUTTER,PLAIN, OR SALTED POPCORN?
Plain

16.WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE COLOUR?
Green

17.WHAT KIND OF CAR DO YOU DRIVE?
None--I walk or bike (usually walk)

18.FAVOURITE SANDWICH?
Club now, was Philly cheese-steak (with & Whiz)

19HOW MANY PETS?
One, counting my niece's Dwarf Netherlands Blue rabbit; I used to keep a 100 gal aquarium with cichlids, pacu & Metynnis sp.

20.IF YOU COULD GO ANYWHERE, WHERE WOULD YOU GO?
Northern Colorado, where I was born--I miss Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park, the Red Feather Lakes, &c. New England & Scotland come in close behind (I have to find a place where folks don;t look at me funny when I'm wearing the kilt!).

21.FAVOURITE SPORT TO WATCH?
Swimming--love the Olympics

22.WHAT DO YOU DREAM ABOUT?
Becoming as good & as successful a photographer as Edward Weston or Ansel Adams

23.FAVOURITE TV SHOW?
Dr. Who for fiction/sci-fi; The Naked Archaeologist for non-fiction

24.HOW MANY CLOSE FRIENDS DO YOU HAVE?
One friend since 2nd grade (also a distant cousin--weird), another friend from when I was a kid who used to live across the street (she's a mom now; just had her first earlier this year), plus my two nieces, so 4.

25.YOUR BIGGEST ACCOMPLISHMENT?
Taking my MA in 2 semesters; I do expect my nieces to do impressive things though, and if part of that success comes from something I said or did to help them along, so much the better--that would easily top anything else.
