I saw this topic turn into a debate, so I moved the posts out into an own thread. This doesn't belong in the question thread.

If you can use that word in a respectful way, then please do so.
It usually is used in a demeaning way, which is what we don't want to see here.

While we should all be adults here, we should keep in mind that this forum is open to be read by anyone. I've seen some of our posts pop up at google searches.
Some of the ever present guests of this forum are in fact search engine indexing bots.
